Capigo

End-to-end creation of a mobile app powered by AI. Capigo is an Android app designed to quickly turn what the user says into organised notes, tasks and reminders. The project covered the whole process of building a digital product — from developing the concept and designing the interface, through programming the app and integrating artificial intelligence models, to preparing the pricing model, the website and the release on Google Play.

01 // scope of work

  • Developing the product concept

    Defining the app's assumptions, purpose, way of working and key functional areas.

  • UX/UI design

    Designing the user experience, interface architecture and app screens, with a focus on simplicity and speed of use.

  • Mobile app development

    Building the Android app, including the interface, business logic and data management mechanisms.

  • Artificial intelligence integration

    Implementing AI to interpret free-form speech, recognise user intent, organise content and automatically prepare notes, tasks and reminders.

  • Implementing speech and natural language processing

    Mechanisms for handling voice input, interpreting times and dates, and working with many languages.

  • Developing the reminder system

    Alarms, notifications, recurring dates and repeating tasks, built with the specifics of how Android works in mind.

  • Android system integration

    Using native system mechanisms, including widgets, notifications, the lock screen, contacts, camera, gallery, clipboard and sharing.

  • Designing the data storage architecture

    Designing a solution in which notes stay on the user's device, with export, import and recovery of deleted data.

  • Implementing the user account system

    Integrating sign-in with Google and e-mail, and a self-service account deletion mechanism.

  • Developing the pricing model

    A monetisation model based on one-off packs of AI uses, with no subscription required.

  • In-app purchase integration

    Implementing the purchase of packs through Google Play.

  • Multilingual app

    An interface supporting 52 languages, plus light and dark themes.

  • Creating the product website

    Designing and launching capigo.karnatstudio.com, presenting the app in six languages.

  • Preparing documentation and procedures

    Drafting the privacy policy, terms of service, feedback form and account deletion process.

  • Preparing and publishing on Google Play

    Preparing and carrying out the release of the app on the official Google Play store.

02 // nature of the project

Capigo is a project covering the creation of a complete digital product, not just a mobile app. The work brought together user experience design, Android development, artificial intelligence integration, data architecture, a monetisation model and the web and formal groundwork needed to distribute the product.

Particular emphasis was placed on natural voice interaction, reliable reminders, multilingual support and user privacy, which was built in from the architecture design stage.
